Highlights for today:
The morning came quick today. We ate breakfast, had quiet time and jumped right into our morning work.
Today we continued the job of creating a creek for when it rains. The rain over the night gave us a chance to see how well our creek worked. We continued to work on the rock bed and side walls. We brought wheel barrels of rocks down and pieced them togheater like a puzzle.
Another group was in charge of house keeping duties. They vacuumed and cleaned out the bunk beds, windows, bathrooms and so on. They also folded blankets and sheets.
The last group worked up at the ridge runners. They loaded up fire wood and put it in a fire pit. They also took six old boats out to a place where anyone can take them.
The Kitchen Crew worked on the meals and when they were done they came and joined the other groups.
We ate lunch and read the E-mails we had received. We appreciate your E-mails and your prayers. Please keep them both coming.
After lunch we went back to our same groups and continued our work. The camp was really impressed with our work so far. Especially with the work done on the creek. Then we took and a break and hung out before dinner.
After our wonderful dinner prepared by the kitchen crew, we had free time until our group meeting at 8:30 PM. During our free time we played basketball, pool, made gifts for our special friends and some even went into the hot tub. The meeting started off with Nate, Tyler, Shawn, and Hanan performing a drama for the group. The drama was a spitting contest between the three main characters on stage and our spit catcher. They competed in distance, speed, and power which resulted in the whole group becoming very wet at the end. Then Angela proceeded to talk to about surrendering our lives to the Lord.
