Rules, Guidelines, and Understandings
- Become really involved in the whole experience.
When working, do it well. Participate in discussions and sharing times.
Enjoy free time by utilizing the facilities available. Use quiet time
effectively.
- The adults on the trip are responsible for your safety and
well-being. You will respect their authority and avoid
smart-mouthing. If you question the decision or action of an adult, you
may speak with him or her privately and courteously.
- Everyone is expected to share the workload. This
includes loading and unloading and cleaning up, as well as our work
projects.
- Your behavior will give honor to God and to the
group. You are aware of what is acceptable behavior within the
bounds of this youth group. There will be consequences for your abusing
privileges on this work camp.
- There will be a general curfew to be followed. We
are expected to put in good, solid hours of work each day. Because
we must be up for a scheduled breakfast and work, we will
follow a sleeping schedule. Please respect those who wish to go to bed
early on a given evening.
- There will be privacy between the guys and the
girls. Guys and girls will not be in each others' bedrooms;
doors will not be locked. When in public, you be dressed decently.
- Attendance at group activities is mandatory. Do not
skip or be late to meals, group meetings, or work assignments.
- Respect project rules.
- About smoking. Do not smoke!
- About discipline. If for some reason we determine
that your behavior disrupts the theme or reason for the trip, a
conversation with a group leader will be considered a warning. Only one
warning will be given. A Continuance of actions actions deemed
disruptive will
constitute a call to your parents or guardians telling them you are on
the next bus home and asking them to wire money for tickets immediately.
