First Presbyterian Church of Endicott, Inc.
2004 Youth Mission Trip
April 12-16, 2004

Friday, April 16

Highlights for today:

Sorry for the wait but I left straight form the parking lot when we arrived home and could not complete Friday before I left.

The day started with breakfast this morning again at 7:00 AM and then we stated to clean our living quarters. We cleaned the craft area, our rooms, the bathrooms and the main room so that it looked better than when we arrived. Then we had some free time to prepare our secret friend gifts or just hang out. The gift shop was opened before lunch and we were given the opportunity to shop. Young life then gave everyone a choice of 3 different shirts for us to keep.

After lunch we did the final clean up. Then we did our secret friend gifts. Through out the week every one is supposed to think of a gift to buy or make their friend based on something that happened. After all the gifts were given special awards were given out. The leaders all got gifts based on something they did that week. Nathan and Tyler also got awards for their extra hard work. We did not have time for the Light of Affirmation.

We departed after the gifts and headed home. Some fell asleep in the car while others just relaxed. We stopped on the way to play a round of miniature golf together as a reward for our hard work. After golf we stopped quickly for food and then finished our journey home.

Over all the trip was pretty good. We had some rough moments, as expected. We would like to thank the parents who taught their kids a good work ethic because it proved to be helpful. Others could use some work yet.

Today was a beautiful day. It was over 60 degrees today with sun and a gentle breeze.

Jon's joke of the day:

If I've learned anything on the trip its been beauty is only a light switch away.
If we don't see you in the future, we'll see you in the pasture.
