Hello from the South!

We had another wonderful day of hard work, connecting with awesome people and amazing fun! We managed to be nearly done on one of the projects so we were given a new one. So several of us tore out the floor (down to the ground!) of a sweet lady's bathroom while others worked on replacing some siding and a window on the back of her house. Another team made good progress with work on the screen porch and finishing up painting two doors, as well as finalizing some lattice work out back. The folks doing the ramp for the boy in the wheelchair made some headway as well. A few brief rain showers put a "damp"er on things but mostly the weather was sunny and beautiful, with temps in the mid-60s.

In the evening, we were invited to an ice cream social with a Rural Mission group from Chickopee, Massachusetts (what a cute name for a town!). We had a great time and it was nice getting to know like-minded folks, especially from up North! Then several of us had a riotous time playing the game "Apples to Apples" while others had nice, quiet chats.

So all in all, it was perfect day with God paving the way for everything to run smoothly. Looking forward to getting several things done tomorrow!

Blessings to all of you back home and thanks for your prayers,

Beth, for The Rural Mission Team
