Dear friends,
It was to say the least a bit rainy here today. Did it
impede our progress? Certainly NOT! Did
the code inspector find a couple of nit picky things to
keep us from getting final inspection approval at the Smiley's? YES he
did. Can we still get it all done? We think so.
So we need to revise the hand rails and apply some insulation
to the pipes and approval should be obtained. There are some
minor trim details to do inside and the house should be done.
At the Duffy's house where the ramp is being built, the work
continued in the rain. As you can see in the picture, there
were some tarps and shelter's to keep the work on schedule
although every one from that site was very wet on arrival
back at the church. |

At Mrs. Mitchell's, where we started yesterday, the reconstruction
of the bathroom floor is well under way and
it should be tiled before the end of the
day tomorrow. The window in the picture
below was replaced today and the T 111 siding
was painted. It is so damp that we hope we
are able to apply it tomorrow. We helped
to pay an amount due on her water bill.
The water company was supposed to turn it
on today but they had not been there as of
5 pm today. We are replacing the valves and
innards of the toilets to prevent the huge
loss of water that led to the unmanageable
water bill.

The McKeown's left this morning. We were sad to see them go.
They contributed so much to the group and the work.
Last day tomorrow, then looking forward to seeing you again.
Blessed and Saved by the Grace of our Lord,
The Rural Mission team.
