Dear friends,
With the exception of Pam,
Art and Tim who arrive tomorrow we have safely
settled into Wesley Methodist
Church. The group has expanded compared
to recent years. There
are 23 of us. The weather is clear and
in the mid-fifty degree range. We were
welcomed by the church.
Today we viewed our projects which will
involve two houses to start.
Shirley and Harry Smiley are the owners of a new house that was
dedicated last Saturday but needs some work
to achieve final approval by Wednesday. The front porch needs
to be screened in. This will
involve trimming the posts, framing in and
installing a door and placing the screening. This will mean a
lot of carpentry, painting
and fitting.

Skirting

The skirting will be placed around the bottom of the house which
is built on pillars to keep animals out. Once again it will require
a lot of construction of panels to fill in the spaces. The stairs
will be skirted with lattice.
In the house there is a hole in the ceiling awaiting the installation
of the attic ladder. It needs to have extra joists and gussets
installed.
The other project is for Mrs Duffy. A handicap accessible ramp
will be built for her house.
