 Thursday,
April 30th
Doug called today and left a quick message.
He said the group is all fine and hiked
up a mountain with a Maasai warrior (He
did give me the name of the mountain
but google and my spelling don't seem
to be matching up...) Everyone is well
and he said he will send them home safe
and sound tomorrow. He sent his blessings
and thanks to everyone back home.
Devotion
for Thursday
Some people in rural Masai have never seen white
people before. Others have mixed impressions of westerners. How
do you want them to remember you? For your white skin? For your
rich clothes? For the image of Americans that is portrayed through
our media? Or will the team leave them with a different impression
because the light of Christ might shine through us?
“Let your light so shine before others, that they
may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” (Matthew
5:16)
Pray that the team has gone to Kenya as humble servants, and
by their words and actions, glorified God.
